CONTINUOUS MONITORING OF TRANSIT MIXER’S DRUM ROTATION
Mixer drum rotation is mandatory for maintaining the quality of ready mix concrete during transit, as drum rotation ensures proper concrete mixing and also en-route drum rotation reduces the vehicle maintenance cost. Many times drivers turn of the drum rotation en-route to save fuel and to swindle on that saved fuel. But turning off the drum rotation will hamper the quality of concrete and increases vehicle maintenance cost. RMCTOMS address these challenges by monitoring the drum rotation and by providing alerts on en-route drum rotation stops before reaching the destination. Anti-clock wise rotation of drum indicates the unloading and clock wise rotation of drum indicates loading/transportation of ready mix concrete or vice-versa. If drum rotates to a concrete discharging direction in an unassigned location, operators will get alerts and thus helps operator in cracking down the concrete theft.
